The collection consists of over a hundred works, including a large selection of busts, sketches for monuments and tools
Porvoo Museum takes care of collections related to the J. L. Runeberg’s Home Museum and Walter Runeberg Sculpture Collection as well as art collections belonging to the city of Porvoo. In addition to the collections themselves, Porvoo Museum also attends to the research, handling, and exhibition activities related to the art collection, together with city’s culture services.
Porvoo Museum is the only museum in the area doing collections and research work. For this reason the museum has taken responsibility over collections owned by third parties. The work is done in accordance with the cooperation agreement between the museum association and the city of Porvoo.
