Porvoo Museum Information­ Portal MIP

Cultural environment information of Eastern Uusimaa is currently being collected and preserved in digital form into the Porvoo Museum’s MIP-portal. The goal is to store information about archeology and buildings, and to make the information available by region to be used by the residents or anyone interested. This is a several year task that is carried out with the help of funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Archeologist can catalogue the findings from digs in the Eastern Uusimaa region into MIP if they so desire. Even surveys of structures and investigations on the cultural environment can be recorded directly into MIP. Even photographs and diverse kinds of documents can be stored in MIP.
